Messi is great there’s no doubt. However, the day Messi gets his left foot
broken, but yet recover in three months only to come back to become
champion of his league, and then leads his national team into winning the
world cup, then he will be the greatest.

Maradona comes from another universe and he was the most sickest GENIUS of
all times. He had to deal with brutal defense killers back in the 80s
especialy when Cattenaccio ruled all over Italy and half Europe.

Nowadays defenders get booked by tipping the strikers shoulders. Messi as
brilliant as he is has never experienced being attacked from behind and
infront by three different defenders at the same time but Mardona has and
he still could manage to controll the ball. Messi and Ronaldo score like 50
goals each season in Spain but they almost don´t score at all when it comes
to World Cup, Copa America and European Cup tournaments because the
competition is a way harder there.

  11. just see in this video the difference beetween the defenders faced by Messi
and the ones faced by Maradona. The ones faced Maradona was assassins, at
his time only Maradona could dribble like that, it was way harder to
drible, in fact dribbles was more sporadics in the 80′ (especcially in

Only an IDIOT would compare that midget to Maradona, the best ever

  13. if messi wants to be as good as maradona then he needs drugs.

  16. Abdel FarkhiJune 18, 2014 at 12:31 pm

  17. GoldenDawnNowJune 18, 2014 at 12:53 pm

Messi dribble som junk crap players in la liga, and dive in same time..
Maradona dribble hard core defence, who did kick and hold him all the time..
    Messi= newer won world cup
    Maradona= won world cup

  18. So Maradona did that weird kick by the other foot back in those
    days?????!!!! I thought it’s a C. Ronaldo special! Well, I am wrong!

  19. Jhon CarvajalJune 18, 2014 at 1:35 pm

  21. Rupen MaharjanJune 18, 2014 at 2:24 pm

i have never seen maradona’s game but i think he has more goals than
    passes… he rarely makes pass.

  22. Tristiano Penaldo dos diverJune 18, 2014 at 3:04 pm

Has Messi the magic of Maradona? YES
But had Maradona the stats of Messi? NO.
Messi is the newer, faster and updated version of Maradona WITH lot of
Just watch the video.Messi is taking on/beating far more players and
scoring/assists.When most of time, Maradona’s dribbling is brining NOTHING
    for the team.

  23. BEAUARCHERJune 18, 2014 at 3:28 pm

Is the first time I feel that Messi has surpassed Maradona. Is a pitty that
this year had disappeared comparing to past seasons. I hope next year he’ll
be back to teach us what football is about!!!
